Finally: The ATC Wall!

I'm one of those people who has grandiose plans to do a lot of very strange things with my house/art/life, but then somehow gets sidetracked with reality TV. Well, this weekend, I've finally done something I've been meaning to do since I moved into my new house (a year ago): line the walls of my guest/art room with all of my artist trading cards:


What's notable about this is that for every card there, I traded one of my own. And, if that weren't weird enough to think about, please consider that this is only about half of my entire collection. I ran out of thumbtacks, which explains why it's slightly uneven in the bottom row.

It's crazy, and it's cluttered, but you have to admit that it's a little bit cool, too, right?

I know there are definitely some of yours in there -- at one point we did a 4/4 trade and you gave me a Golden Compass Iorek, which is up there. And I think you also particpated in the pink swap, which is up there, too.

How do you have these mounted? I mean, are they in clear baseball sleeves, or on paper?

They're mounted in those binder sleeves that hold nine cards each. You can get them at hobby stores. I don't like to glue the cards to anything because I like to check the backs.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
I sort of went out of my ATC phase for a while but recently it came back STRONG and so this is really exciting to see

You should try out atcsforall.com, and if you're a hand-drawn/hand-painted illustrator type, illustratedatcs.com. Both are amazing sites! :)

WOW! I love seeing this! Thanks so much for sharing!
I have all of my cards stuck in a book! I hardly ever look at them myslf anymore, much less have them out for everyone to see!?
No one I know in person seems to be interested in art! *bummer*

great minds think alike!

i have a very narrow wall in my room and mine are displayed similarly, except i never thought to put them in the binder pages! (mine are in individual top loader cases)

to boot- i think at least one of my cards is from a trade with you! ha!
